The Tahoe Ridge heads south out of Genoa then turns west and climbs the historic Old Pony Express Route. Every turn brings amazing new vistas of the valley below and the mountains above.

At the top of Daggett pass the route heads north, first on single track, then on a paved road, and then on dirt. The route climbs towards Genoa peak and then drops down towards the Lake Tahoe after a fabulous panoramic vista of the lake and surrounding mountains. Riders will descend and climb through a series of meadows, aspen groves, and pine forest before heading east for a fun descent back down to the valley. There’s a little more single track and climbing before a fast pedal back to the start on pavement.

This loop features everything from single track and sand to both new and abandoned asphalt.
